뉴욕 맨해튼 할렘에서 승용차와 미니밴의 충돌사고로 1명이 숨지고 어린이 2명 포함. 6명이 중경상을 입는 사고가 발생했다. 사고로 인한 충격으로 차량 한 대가 인도로 돌진, 행인들까지 다치는 등 일대가 한동안 아수라장이 됐다.

6일 오후 2시15분경 브로드웨이 135가에서 포드 포커스 차량이 흰색 배달전용 밴과 충돌했다. 두 차량 중 한 대가 충돌직후 인도쪽으로 방향이 바뀌면서 행인 세 사람을 덮쳤다.
이 사고로 승용차 운전자인 40세 여성이 세인트 루크 병원에 긴급 후송됐으나 병원도착후 사망했다. 승용차에 타고 있던 두명의 어린이 등 6명의 부상자는 병원에 옮겨져 치료를 받고 있다. 경찰은 정확한 사고 경위를 파악하고 있다.

Crash kills one, injures six on Broadway
One woman was killed and six people injured in a horrific crash that sent a pair of cars onto a Harlem sidewalk and into multiple pedestrians Wednesday, officials said.
A Ford Focus plowed into a white delivery van at Broadway and 135th St. around 2:15 p.m., sources said. Both vehicles then careened onto a busy sidewalk, where one of the cars struck three pedestrians.
A 40-year-old woman in cardiac arrest was removed from one of the vehicles and taken to St. Luke's Hospital, where she died. Authorities rushed six others to local hospitals and treated them for serious injuries.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
